US citizen living in Canada: has anyone crossed into US by car with expired passport recently?

I last drove from Vancouver to Seattle the day before Trump took over and no one batted an eye at me coming in on an expired US passport. Has anyone done this recently? I know the temperature at the boarder is very different now. I’d be traveling alone and for less than 24 hours.
