Dog bitten by other dog today (Sat), soonest vet appointment Tuesday

My dog was bitten today by another dog at a local dog park. He was running by and a dog nipped him. My dog yelped and I checked him over but didnt see any sign of injury, so we left. When I got home I saw he was bleeding from a puncture wound on his ribs. I washed the wound with soapy water and put a cone on him. The vet tech said the soonest we could get in would be Tuesday afternoon and they are closed tomorrow (Sunday). I plan on calling Monday to get on a cancellation list.

I know primary concern is infection and was told to watch for swelling/abscess, weeping or mood/eating changes.

Is Tuesday soon enough? When i asked the tech, she seemed reluctant to give me an answer, presumably for liability reasons.

Age: 3.5 years old Breed: Mix (Potcake) Weight: 42 lbs Location: eastern Canada Clinical signs: puncture wound ~1cm diameter from this morning. It is now the evening and it still looks wet but is not dripping. Behavioural: he is sleeping, which is typical after a day at the park. I will try to get him to eat but he is a picky eater/grazer.
