Why do you think Sonic Horror is still so popular online?

Hi all, my name's The Beak, and recently I went down a bit of a Halloween inspired Sonic Horror Rabbit Hole.

Between playing games like Tail's Nightmare, the first Sonic Horror type game I ever played, FNF mods like Lord X stuff, Outcome Memories, etc., as well as doing some lore dives into characters like Fleetway Sonic, I kept thinking about how wild this all feels considering that the origins of Sonic Horror is the OG Sonic.exe creepypasta from 2011. Like it's just kept on growing and growing and growing seems like everyday now there is a new addition to the Sonic Horror Universe. So I wanna ask you, as Sonic fans, why do you think Sonic Horror is still so popular? I also made a video digging into it, I'd love to hear your thoughts about the whole thing. :)
