Had a dream about something called 'grand strategy chess"

Had a dream a varient of chess was created called grand strategy chess, it was basically a larger 5x5 grid where each tile was a smaller chess board (16x16 board) and the piece of each board were somewhat randomized, like their was a "Frontline" comprising of almost entirely pawns in a line (usually a curvy line) and the other pieces scattered behind that Frontline, pieces from other large tiles could migrate to neighboring boards if they moved out of bounds leading to people reinforcing their board with pieces from farther behind, usually the goal was to capture all the large tiles by wiping out the enemy teams pieces, usually every time behind the Frontline tiles would have reserve pawns for creating a new frontline
