Would you count death cloud as mdl?

If my intention is to use [[Death Cloud]] as a win condition in my [[Hearthhull, the Worldseed]] deck, would you still consider it as mass land destruction? I used it last night at my lgs for the holloween thing. It was suppose to be bracket 3 and lower. I realized after that I could be mass land destruction after, but nobody called me out on it. Just want some other opinions.
