My teacher asked me what she can do to help me, what am I even supposed to say to that?
I'm failing calculus. Clean 50s. I really hate that kind of feeling, where it's like I'm trying my best and it's not working. But logically, I know that I'm not really trying my best, and she can tell pretty easily.
what am I supposed to say to her? "Sorry, I'm just lazy and evil!" what is she expecting me to say? She already knows that I don't try or focus hard enough.
this next part's unnecessary, it's just added context.
She told me herself, she doesn't put in extra effort to help people who don't try their best, and that in an AP class, she doesn't do hand holding to make people focus and do what they need to do. But this has been my problem since the start, it's never been about material that I can't learn even when I try my best, it's just that I never focus or put in enough effort to lock in enough to learn it properly like everyone else does. It's gotten so much worse in the past quarter that I got sent to the counselor, and that's a different topic, and what she's talking to me about isn't something that my math teacher can really do anything about. Calculus is just one of those things that I can't learn or halfass by learning the core concept and logic-ing my way through it.
