Do you trade or hold high-performing waiver pickups?

First time playing fantasy and I'm curious if you all try to flip good waiver pickups for more-established players or just hold them. Does it make sense to trade 2 or 3 waiver pickups to try to get one consistent 2nd or 3rd round player? I know it's all going to be situational but wondering what your broader strategies are.

(I'm thinking about guys like Kalkbrenner, Coward, Fears, Jaquez, Kyshawn George, NAW, Buzelis, etc.)
