I uninstalled ChatGPT and all the other LLMs except for DeepSeek

The only serious negative drawback with the Chinese LLMs is that they're subject to heavy political censorship. Overall, they're much less draconian in terms of guardrails than American LLMs like ChatGPT.

For purposes like romantic character creation, I'm switching to open-source, which again means depending on Chinese open-source models like Qwen or DeepSeek primarily via LM Studio.

The USA is embracing censorship culture and prudish values way too much, in a way that's inconsistent with what a free society is supposed to look like. It's everywhere now.
