Someone please help
I’m currently in the process of being evaluated for POTS after having persistent tachycardia since my surgery a couple of months ago. My heart rate can jump up to around 160 just from standing or light movement. I’m on a beta blocker now, which helps some, but I still get these intense waves of impending doom that feel absolutely terrifying.
It’s like my body suddenly floods with panic — my heart races, I shake, and I get this deep, gut-level fear that I’m about to die or that something awful is happening, even though I’ve been checked out and told everything looks fine in the er(blood work and images ekg..,). It feels completely real and uncontrollable.
Every day I end up pacing and crying because the fear just takes over. I know it might be related to my nervous system being out of balance from POTS, but it’s so hard to manage in the moment.
I feel out of my mind
