8m son starts daycare Monday - reassurance needed

Hi all - as the title says, my son starts daycare on Monday. We did these transition days this past week on Tues-Thurs from 9-10am and it was a bit rough. He essentially cried on and off the entire hour. He has serious stranger danger even at 3m, and has only really been around my husband and I.

They nap in the room they play in, but dim the lights. I know there's a transition period, but I'm just nervous he won't eat or sleep - honestly I'm insanely nervous about the whole thing. Any advice to ease transition or reassurances are welcome 😩
