US recommendation needed

Hello US friends. My wife and I live in a disenchanting hyper urban part of your neighbouring country to the north. We’re looking to spend the entire week of Christmas somewhere in the states that is small and TRULY gets into Christmas. (Think hallmark Christmas movie town) us and our golden retriever want to feel all the magic of REAL Christmas again the way it felt in our childhood small towns decades ago.

Any recommendations would be truly welcomed. We’re exhausted from lack of participation and de-mystification of everything all the time.
