Flashq q20ii won't work with GX9

Today I bought the FlashQ Q20ii for the Lumix Gx9. I can only get the flash to work when I attach the Q20 with transmitter AND flash to the camera and open the onboard flash. When I attach a Godox flash, it just works without opening the onboard flash. I suspect this has something to do with the hotshoe connection. Photo 1 is the FlashQ Q20, photo 2 is the Godox. Any ideas?
