Why are there seemingly so few high earners involved in bitcoin?

Just an observation having transferred a couple mil through my regular bank and having to ring the high value transfer team daily for the last month. The amount of shocked, surprised or congratulatory responses from the operators was crazy and whenever I asked how often this happens they said I was the first young person. I presumed this would be a daily occurrence and by far the most common source of under 30 millionaires given the fame and accessibility of bitcoin yet it's apparently rare.

I genuinely do not get it. You did not have to be Einstein to look at the arguments against it and see none of them really made sense, look at the price graphs and realise it could well be some insane number and then just buy it and wait a decade yet apparently barely anyone has managed to do that.

Just curious why people think this is?
