Thank you from a tourist
The wife and I visited from the UK this year and could not have had more fun. We’ve spent two weeks travelling around Massachusetts, Maine and off to Vermont tomorrow, but have to say that Salem was the main event. We came two years ago on a ‘once in a lifetime trip’ but loved it so much that we came back as soon as we could (and will do again in the next few years).
Salem is an incredibly beautiful city and I’m glad we were able to dedicate three days to it, my wife loves history and historic homes while I love the energy downtown so it was great to to all the touristy stuff on the quieter days as well as have time for the parts outside of Essex street.
We live in Bath in the UK so know exactly how frustrating tourist season can be. It will be our turn when we get home as the Christmas markets start. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all of the locals we bumped into on our travels, whether it was friendly shop staff, waiters, or locals, all of whom were incredibly kind and helpful.
Once again, thank you and we can’t wait to come back!
