Anyone here ever take out an installment loan just to breathe a little?

So here’s the deal, I’d been juggling a few small debts, nothing massive but enough to make every paycheck feel like a game of Tetris. One emergency later (thanks, car repairs 😒) and my credit cards were basically maxed.

I didn’t want to go for another credit card or payday loan, so I tried applying for an installment loan online, something with a fixed term and predictable payments. Got a few offers, picked one that looked reasonable, and honestly… it’s been manageable so far.

Now I’m just curious, has anyone else here used an installment loan to get out of a tight spot? Did it actually help long term, or did it end up being another cycle of debt?
