Worried you don't have good enough armor for the Ender Dragon? Don't worry, armor doesn't matter!
You read that right, and unless you have super indepth knowledge of the game it probably is just as shocking as when I first heard it and you're probably inclined to not believe me understandably, so lemme break it down:
-
The Endermen in the arena are a complete non factor as long as you don't look at them.
-
The dragon hitting you itself does almost no damage and the main threat is getting knocked into the air which can either be bucket clutched if you've practiced that or more practically can be nullified by bringing several water buckets and covering the island im water (as a bonus this also makes the endermen cake if you accidentally look at them)
-
The fireball the dragon spits and the lingering damage field do what the game considers magic damage (didn't know that was a thing? me neither) which armor doesn't reduce the damage of.
-Obviously armor don't do jack in the event you fall in the void.
A niche technical Minecraft youtuber pointed this out off handedly and it caught me so off guard I had to share. So yea, you now have almost no reason to not go try and kill the dragon if you haven't before, just bring a stack of bread, an iron sword, a normal bow and some buckets, which is all a non issue if you die hahahaha. Hope this gave you a chuckle, have a good one!
