Can't add unblocked Finch user

Hi, I recently unblocked a Finch user and we have been trying to add each other as friends again however it's not letting either of us. It keeps saying "You already sent them a friend request", yet neither of us are getting a friend request from each other on the app even though we both already sent one multiple times.

If someone could please tell me how to fix this, I'd appreciate it.
