Do I need a technician to repair/replace my induction cooktop, or can I do it myself?
I have a standalone cooktop, so no attached oven. One of the burners is broken. I could get a replacement part for not too much, but the cost of a technician is a few hundred dollars, at that point it's similar to the cost of an entirely new full cooktop. Two questions:
-
Since I already have a cooktop, everything is already correctly wired. Could I replace the cooktop myself? Would it be an simple as plugging it in?
-
For the repair option, could I replace the burner myself? Or is that something only an electrician/technician should do?
Sorry if this is a dumb question. I don't know whether this is a simple plug it in or some complex electrician thing
Thanks!
