Rash/Blisters on finger. Please help.

Looking for advice on a rash/blisters forming on my finger

Male/30/150lbs/6’

Currently day 5.

Rash and blisters appeared out of no where on Tuesday. The blisters have slowly gotten bigger and the area is getting more red and slightly sore. It was extremely itchy for the first few days but seems to have subsided. It has stayed contained to the same small area on the lower right middle finger near the webbing. It has not spread to other areas or isn’t anywhere else on my body. I’ve never had anything like this before.

I saw a clinic practitioner on Wednesday and was told it could be herpes or Dyshidrotic eczema or even shingles. Due to my symptoms they gravitated towards a diagnosis for eczema. I was prescribed a cortisone cream and after using it for 2 days I haven’t noticed any relief or decrease in blister size or redness.

I haven’t ever had a history of hsv-1 or 2. I am sexually active with a long term partner who has no history of hsv 1 or 2.

I do have a history of eczema as well as family history, particularly on the hands, that usually appear as red, dry and cracked skin. This usually appears in the winter for me when it’s cold and dry.

I did have shingles on the left side of my face/ear about four years ago, that was caught early and remedied with antivirals. No other reactivation. The blisters due almost resemble the same blisters I had on my face if I remember correctly. Not sure if shingles can reactivate in different body parts and be extremely mild such as my finger.

From the images I’m seeing online it can honestly be any of the three issues I listed above. They honestly look so close and similar it’s hard to tell.

Just looking for some of your thoughts.
