THE POSITIONWithdrawal Management Workers provide compassionate care to individuals withdrawing from alcohol and/or drugs. You are part of a collaborative team that ensures client safety and comfort at this early stage of their recovery. You monitor client withdrawal symptoms, administer medication as prescribed, support brief service plans and discharge plans, facilitate psychoeducational groups, and assist with ongoing service and supports. You make a difference!Key responsibilities of a Withdrawal Management Worker include:Conduct telephone screening of clients to determine program eligibilitySupport client intake into the programMonitor withdrawal symptoms, administer and document client medications, and alert medical professionals to any issues which impact client’s safe withdrawalSupport implementation of client safety, support and/or transition plansDeliver brief, solution-focused interventions
