Cephalid Facetaker changed base stats

If I make a copy of [[Cephalid Facetaker]] with [[hashaton scarab’s fist]], how does the Facetaker’s trigger ability work? Would it keep the 4/4 stats or does it revert back to 1/4?

My thinking is that it’s just trying to reference that it keeps the base stats of the card, but ya know….magic is weird.
