Where can I read the comics?

I've been a light fan for a few years now. Mainly just watching the show every fall. Only recently after looking for a DVD copy did I find out there was an entire comic series I didn't know about. I'd love to read them. But the only way I've found is overpriced re-sells on ebay. Is there anyway to read the comics without spending at times nearly $80 per issue? Like a digital version for sell somewhere.
