Any Lebanese game dev here?
Hi!
I'm planning on developing a Grand Strategy game inspired by the Levant; either the Israel-Palestine conflict, or Lebanon. This is because I think a game like Sid Meier's Civilization V, but focusing specifically on one of the conflicts in the Levant, would be super interesting and fun.
I think it could be super cool and productive doing this with another person. Of course what I said above was just the initial idea, it would of course change according to what both of us think would work.
What I bring to the table
-
I have a BSc from an established university, currently working as a SWE at an enterprise company
-
I've been dabbling in gamedev since my early teens, and have multiple relatively large and impressive projects I've started and completed (unfortunately all associated with my real name so I can't link them here...)
-
On a personal level: I'm a geopolitics and history nerd, and a gamer
What I'm looking for
Someone with either similar experience to mine, or someone with experience in digital art and/or digital music, with focus on gamedev; ideally with accreditation from a college/university/workplace OR multiple projects / proof that you can start a project and complete it. Being able to dedicate a few hours each week to gamedev.
About me
I'm an Israeli Jew from Tel Aviv, my grandparents and aunts fled Beirut. I have multiple Lebanese friends, and it would always be cool to meet more. My dream is one day of being able to do a road trip from Tel Aviv to Beirut (of course, in Beirut as a tourist...) and to see where my grandparents grew up.
I think also for the type of game I'm making, having someone with a different perspective than mine is a must, which is why I thought of posting on this sub.
