Convince me otherwise: The Cymanti nerf too strong - ended their use completely.

Discussion
  • Before all the updates, Oumaji was the best tribe on all small and medium maps with perfect play (which is hard to do). You can see this in pro play or at ~1800+ elo levels.
  • Cymanti was about as good as Oumaji on 196 1v1 maps before updates. People love to play 196 and a lot of high elo players were Cymanti because its almost as good as Oumaji, but its easier to play perfectly (doesn't require the same amount of skill). In other words, at pro levels Cymanti was worse, but at high skill levels they are equal and at lower skill levels Cymanti is much better.
  • With all the nerfs and the extra starting stars for many tribes, Cymanti has become flatly inferior to standard tribes on all maps sizes.
  • The only non-water maps that are still dominated by a special tribe is Elyrian on large maps, where sanctuaries allow for huge bomber numbers and dragons become by far the best super unit by late game.

They basically removed Cymanti from competitive play, maybe thats better, but I would say the nerf went to far. They could have kept it competitive if they had only removed the ability of hexes to move through mountains. Cymanti's advantage was always that it was more mobile than other tribes and can pick of units with Hexes. The changes to spores (from 3 population to 2) mean cymanti basically doesn't have enough resources to compete.
