Mention Depression in app

I had depression sophomore year and it made me lose my 4.0. My grades came right back up junior and senior year, but I'm wondering if I should mention it in the circumstances to sort of explain the 3.8. I'm also worried doing that will reduce my chances if colleges think I'm at risk of falling into it again or incapable of sticking with good grades. What should I do?
