Is it legal to contact a trooper for a date?
My friend and I went on a long drive last night to another town after gym. It was Halloween night and also was a little rainy/misty and unfortunately got pulled over. The officer was really polite and he gave a little smile when my friend first started talking/answering his questions (she has cute accent). Anyway, my friend thought he was cute. We may have read too much into the interaction because we felt he would be interested too if they hadn’t met through a professional situation. He was young and was extremely polite and kind.
I understand that these days reaching out personally outside of dating apps is considered creepy and might also take an unwanted turn on my friend. But she thinks it’d be nice that she took the effort to reach out to this person directly. While I also understand it wouldn’t be right to get in touch with him immediately and ask for a date with an outstanding ticket (which she said shes planning on taking care of asap), are there any ways she can reach out legally without being creepy? Is social media a good way to reach out?
Also, I am curious to know what would you do if someone you pulled over reached out to you for a date. Is it flattering, or straight up feels creepy and unsafe? Do any officers have love stories forming this way?
