Hygiene for the win! (Tips and tricks I've found out)

I found out that showering regularly either in warm,or even cold, water every morning when I can makes me feel really good! I'd highly recommend. Especially if you struggle mentally like me,it does something to boost your mood, its not just for other people,it's for yourself. If there's one thing I want you to remember is that. Hygiene is for yourself first and foremost. Now that my showering is a bit better,I want to get back in the habit of tooth brushing, and maybe even learn how to shave my legs and underarms! Eventually. When in allowed to have a razor again. Which I should be,bc it's been a while since the "incident" happened... My hygiene tips for the girlies and non binary folks ( can also be applied to men also):

  1. Shower. It may seem hard, especially on those depressing days where all you wanna do is sleep. Trust me though,a shower, even if you only wash your body and not your hair or no shaving, you'll feel better. I've been there.

  2. Brush teeth! I need to work on this one. But even if you get up to one time per day it's gonna really help you orally, and help increase your confidence and self esteem. Use a mouthwash after if you want. I use the kids bubblegum one at Walmart btw.

  3. Tame your mane. Whatever that takes for you. Short guide. Straight- brush with a brush as often as needed through the day (1-3x) Wavy- comb or lightly brush depending on HOW wavy it is,and maybe use a light air dry styling mousse Curly- Curl friendly products. Don't brush with a brush made for straight hair! It'll make your hair frizzy. Aussie makes great curly hair products. Coily- heavy products with ingredients such as Shea butter. Like hair mousse, hair pudding, etc.

Keep in mind I wrote this advice all from in my head, so if anything is inaccurate I am very sorry.

  1. deodorant. Perfume is not a substitute.Ever. deodorant keeps you smelling good. Deoderant- eliminates underarm odor. Antipersperant- eliminates underarm odor and reduces sweat.

( Everything else on this list is completely optional btw) 5) Makeup. A little can go a long way. Example routine: Blush, mascara, lipstick ( ~ 5 minutes at most) 6) perfume or cologne. You will smell clean after your shower, but nothing wrong with a little scent booster. Spray on pulse point only do as not to smell overpowering ( neck, wrists, behind knees, and elbows) 7) Skincare- some may say this is mandatory. But right now I'm talking about the whole thing,ya know, exfoliation, moisturizer, serum, sunscreen, gua sha, another serum, retinol creams, eye cream...oh my! For beginners,I'd say start with the basics and go up from there. At least try to wash your face. I wash mine in the shower,so I combine steps sometimes. What can I say? Work smarter not harder🤷 The most important tips from this giant monologue... Do you,and nothing is MANDATORY or illegal. There are no hygiene police. But please, try what you can and if some days you can't,or you can only do the bare minimum, that's ok! There's always another day. Alright I'm done now. Where's my snack?
