Period just…stopped?

I’m 49 years old. For the past three years I’ve had a period every month although they’ve been wonky. They came every 21 days, 33 days, 29 days, 35 days, etc. But it made an appearance each month. My peri symptoms were mild at best. Mostly acne.

This August it came as usual and since then…it’s hasn’t returned. Starting in mid-September I started getting hot flashes, joint pain, insomnia, all of a sudden and all at once, but HRT is helping. My husband has been snipped and I even took a pregnancy test (negative) because it was so weird.

My mom says this is what happened to her. Periods every month then it stopped suddenly and that’s when her symptoms started. I wish I knew what to expect!
