Batch BS

I was working last night and there was a pizza place that I had already tried to pick up from on GrubHub so I knew they were really backed up.

I get an Ubereats batch offer that showed only the restaurant near the pizza place, because Ubereats can't be bothered to show us both restaurants on a batch order.

So of course the second order is for the pizza place and I had to cancel it because it's gonna be at least half an hour. When I delivered the other order I joked to the customer that it's a good thing he didn't order pizza cause it was a long wait for that. I should've mentioned that I did him a big favor by canceling the other order and not sitting on his order for 30+ minutes...

The good news is that when I canceled that pizza order my cancel rate did not go up so it seems like they have improved that. Unfortunately I accidentally accepted a Home Depot shopping order a little while later and I had to cancel that one (and Ubereats makes you contact support to cancel a shopping order?!). After that my cancel rate did go up by 2% so that free cancel I had was gone.

Ubereats REALLY NEEDS to show us all restaurants on batch offers and make it clear that it is a batch offer. In the past year or two they have made the font smaller on batch offers so you might not see the little number (2) if you're driving or just not looking closely.
