Thoughts on different pricing for tourists?
I’m in favor of higher prices for visitors, considering the difference in wealth that’s generally there. Some communities accomplish this by having transit targeted at tourists, like the SF Cable Car, which costs $9 for a single ride.
Could it apply to the streetcar, which is ridden by roughly 50% locals and 50% tourists? For example, a relatively affordable annual pass could be available (maybe $20/month, paid upfront), while single-ride tickets would be made more expensive on the streetcar (maybe $8 per ride).
