The most educated stupid people on the planet are "Capitalists."
The difficult part is defining exactly what capitalism is and then being able to define what makes it a good system compared to other systems.
The fact you have to argue that it's paying for labor and other systems argue against that is wild because, literally everything from relationships to trade to work all have give and take and to call that "Capitalism" makes it sound stupid. You have to argue against rewarding people and then invent a group of people saying we shouldn't reward work and that's the argument is nonsense I keep seeing.
We design the system we live in. We do.
We have a system where shareholders and owners underpay workers and keep workers in debt with low wages and high costs. We then see propaganda claiming that's what socialism or communism does. While it's happening right now under our system of economic slavery.
First you have to pay for upkeep of society, which takes human effort. Without that upkeep, everything falls apart. This is your infrastructure, first responders, food, a clean environment, military security, legal systems, all that. Things that help manage a society. That's the base. You also need teachers, emergency care, long term healthcare, mental healthcare, research and development... you get the idea.
All of those things are society.
SO now what?
Well, do we have people all be generalists with a limited skill and understanding of work doing a little bit of everything?
Or...
Do we centralize resources and effort with specialized workers so we can look at trends, reduce errors and problems, make mass improvements quickly and streamline processes to create more output with less work?
Obviously, we specialize. It works. We see it all the time. When there's a freest of markets, monopolies rise up and crush others and often create wage slaves by underpaying and overworking laborers while keeping all the gains to the owners to then pay for luxury.
Well to have highly specialized people who can cooperate and work together, they need safety, education, healthcare, welfare, infrastructure, a clean environment, dating so people can have babies, hobbies for creative thinking to improve processes and motivation and all that.
Well fuck, all that cuts into profits for the people not contributing to the work! that's socialism and communism!
No fucking shit. If you want a society of specialists who are capable, motivated, happy, dating and aren't committing crime, they need resources, safety and time for education so they can train on skills. They also need to recover from burnout and have the resources to date and have hobbies so they don't burn out and are motivated and happy to be at work and earning a living.
We also need buffers so if people aren't employed, they can look for a new job and train for one or get the resources and training to start a new business or something. Look at that. Instead of just kicking someone into homelessness and killing them for not keeping a job for whatever reason which took society 20 to 50 years to grow this person, we give them a little bit of resources to get back on their feet and try to contribute to society.
So now we have to go after the leaders of those monopolies who are creating the society and conditions where people can't save up enough money or time off to date, have hobbies, eat, and how dare they want healthcare and stuff!
But if they get free stuff they'll stop working!
Tell that to all the wealthy people who have millions and billions of dollars who are still greatly involved in work and hobbies which disproves that argument. People like to contribute and work and do things.
So the problem isn't paying people for work, it's that those who own the economy are underpaying and starving workers to the point they can't save money, date, have a hobby and start a business.
It takes about 20 years to turn a baby into an adult who can hopefully function in our complex society full of rules, regulations, expectations and demands. That's millions of dollars of effort to feed, house, care for them, raise them, educate them, all that stuff just so they can start being a worker and "Capitalists" want them to starve to death on the street if they get fired and not have the funds to feed themselves because "Capitalists" want to underpay and overwork those people into literal pain and death and then blame them for not having babies.
"Capitalists" are the problem.
