Stargardt’s disease — worried about losing peripheral vision. Any clinical trials still open?

Hi everyone! My name is Maryna Shpara, I’m 31 years old. I was diagnosed with Stargardt’s disease when I was 11.

At my latest OCT scan, the doctor said I currently have about 10–15% of central vision left, and that around 10–15% of my peripheral retina is also slightly affected.

I always thought that peripheral vision stays preserved forever, but now I’m really worried about the future. I’m afraid of possibly losing all my vision one day.

Here are my ABCA4 gene variants: c.1622T>C (Leu541Pro), c.3113C>T (Ala1038Val), c.4467C>G (Cys1489Arg). Do you think that with these mutations, peripheral vision usually keeps deteriorating over time, or can it stabilize?

I’ve already tried applying for several clinical trials (gene and drug therapies), but two centers have declined me.

Does anyone know of any current studies still accepting participants? I’m originally from Ukraine, but currently living in Poland, and I’m willing to travel anywhere in the world if needed.

Thank you in advance to anyone who shares advice or experience ❤️
