just passed my series 66 and i’m honestly shocked

i just passed my series 66 and i still can’t believe it. i used passperfect, same thing i used for my sie, 7, and 63, and somehow i passed all of them first try. still no clue how 😂

i used to work at a brokerage but i got fired a little while ago. now i’m at a bank and started studying last month after work every night just trying to use the 66 to my advantage and hopefully land something better soon.

my passperfect final scores were:
61, 75, 68, 71, 72, 76, 66, 78, 68, 80, and the randomized final was 69.

the way i studied was pretty much flying through the material and focusing on the chapter and mastery exams. if i scored under 70 i’d retake it till i passed, if i got over 70 i’d just review what i missed and move on.

now let me be real, the series 66 is harder than the 7 for sure. the middle of the test had me sweating. i marked like 30 questions and walked out convinced i failed. there was one math question about a client making 152k with a 12k deduction or something and i just did 152000 x .24 and guessed 😭

they threw life insurance questions at me and i had no idea what was going on. they even asked how many continuing ed credits an iar can roll over… like bro what 😂

make sure you know what’s a security and what isn’t a security, qdros, balance sheet vs income statement, debt to equity ratio, difference between investment advisers and broker dealers, and fiduciary vs suitability.

honestly don’t even ask me for advice cause i’m still shocked i passed. i was 50/50 guessing half the time.

if you’re scoring low 70s on passperfect finals you’re good. the real exam feels harder but passperfect definitely overprepares you.

good luck to anyone taking it soon. if i can pass after thinking i bombed it, you’ll be fine 😂
