>*~~Blammo's gone~~* ***the Platypi made the tough offseason decision to let go of Blammo Tamale****.*

>
***While a beloved icon for the franchise,*** *~~I wanted a damned boat~~* ***he had significantly under-performed his salary the previous year****. The rest of the lineup was strong enough* *~~that we could pay two scrubby kids for half of what he cost~~* ***to carry a couple of defensive-minded CFs****, so* *~~we booted his Gucci ass~~* ***allowed him to seek other opportunities****. That allowed* *~~me~~* ***the Platypi*** *to* *~~buy a new Yacht, with a helipad~~* ***net a $22M surplus which could be invested into our young prospects****. This was the best decision* *~~I ever made - have you seen the hot tub on this thing?~~* *for the long-term health of the franchise.*

>
*Well as it turned out, Blammo* *~~cost too damned much for the Sand Cats, too~~* ***was available in the free agent market just in time for the playoffs****. That means he can join us for one more championship run while also* *~~pocketing $22M on the year~~* ***investing in our future****. And then we can* *~~cut him loose again in the offseason~~* ***evaluate our options after the playoffs****.*

*As a bonus, we had enough left to pick up Jackie Slam, too.*

Back in the saddle again...
