So many people demanding the truth
I read so many posts where people are just demanding that their person tell them the truth, and be honest with them.
So, what I wanna ask you guys is, are you only asking that on a digital platform or are you actually asking them these things face-to-face?
Are you in engaged in conversation with them and providing a comfortable and safe environment for them to feel like they can open up to you?
Do you allow them to speak freely without reacting with emotion, fueled irritation, or aggressiveness?
Are you actively participating in the conversation in a way that encourages someone to feel like you are genuinely interested in what they have to say?
Or are you looking for something to use as fuel in order to prove a point or validate yourself?
People will hold certain truths tight to their chest due to all kinds of reasons. But when a person doesn’t feel safe or heard, they definitely won’t open up in anyway shape or form.
You have to be willing to be on their side. If someone is not comfortable or feeling as though opening up will only bring an attack they’re not gonna do it.
