Chapter 5 teaser trailer

So i've been hearing a lot of theories about the new goo like substance that appears in chapter 5's teaser trailer and it got me thinking.

The number 5 is made up of goo and around the edges it shoots out and my first thought were ribbon worms since they shoot out a white substance that stretches out likes veins but can also be used to capure prey so its possible that the new villain or the prototype is able to shoot out this pink goo to immobolize people or simply eat them.

But then another thought crossed my mind when i was watching my hero academias new season. When bakugo died edgeshot was able to enter his body and fix it from the inside out and so i thought what if the goo holds the same purpose? Not only does the goo have veins but it also moves in place as if it were alive similar to doeys power except the doe parts that fall off doeys body stay in place since it is no longer apart of him. Could this goo be the prototypes eyes around the factory or could this goo be the reason the prototype is able to move around and stay alive?
