Help between air lingus direct or KLM with connection

P2 and I are going Chicago to Dublin. Looking for business class. There are two flight options:

• KLM with a 5 hour layover in Amsterdam
• Air Lingus direct on their A330 - looks like only middle paired seats available

I love KLM. Love collecting the house. Love the Amsterdam lounge. But the Air Lingus flight is direct. The only negative is it’s an early flight - 3:30 PM arriving at like 5 am. So I will probably be exhausted and have to find a hotel in Dublin I can check into early even if I pay.

Any advice appreciated. Is business class on the Air Lingus A330 kind of like Lufthansa business class on their 747?
