Why am I so angry
I have been starting my healing journey recently and I’ve notice something. For my entire life for as long as I can remember, my parents fought. (Like full on screaming matches) Which has led me in years since to say that “I wasn’t a very angry person” or “I guess I never got my parents temper.”
I do have the memory in my childhood, somewhere between age 5-8, I used to argue, with specifically my best friend at the time. But at some point it stopped.
Since then I’ve never been that argumentative in an angry way as well as just generally being angry at stuff.
The biggest place I’ve noticed it has been in the car. I’ve had sarcastic road rage (where instead of getting upset I say sarcastic stuff Ex:“what, the car didn’t come with a blinker??” To myself) ever since I learned to drive 5 years ago, but in the last month or two I’ve gotten significantly angrier at stupid things that I never used to.
So I ask, is it normal to start getting super angry at things when you start healing and how can I manage it? It’s scaring me. I don’t wanna be like my parents.
