Zip tie and childhood

When I was about six or seven, I would tighten zip ties around my neck to the point my mom couldn’t get the scissors in between. I would do this multiple times a week. Looking back on it makes me really interested in why little me would do that. If you have any ideas ,thoughts or answers please let me know
