My baby won’t nap

Sleep

I’m a FTM with a 2-month-old, and this past week has been incredibly hard. I’m not sure if it’s related to his 2-month shots, but I doubt it since I’ve heard fussiness usually happens only within 24–48 hours afterward. Ever since the shots, he hasn’t wanted to nap for more than 30 minutes unless it’s a contact nap—which can last up to 3 hours. I literally can’t get anything done or even eat during the day.

Usually, I end up giving in and letting him contact nap because every time I try to put him down, he kicks himself awake and cries like crazy. His wake windows also feel so short. During them, he’s happy for maybe 10 minutes with an activity, but then starts crying unless I switch things up. If I lay him on his back under the play gym, he cries. If we do tummy time too long, he gets frustrated. Even when I hold him, he often squirms and cries to get out of my arms.

This has only been going on for about a week, but it’s so unlike him. I can’t tell if he’s in pain or just unhappy, and it breaks my heart because all I want is for him to feel okay and be happy. Has anyone gone through this?
