Improve my video skills

Hello everyone, I am coming to this sub reddit for advice. For the past few years I have been doing photography and growing a lot through it, I have learnt a lot and have been able to make some living out of it. However I notice that photography alone is just not enough in today's world. Every job posting I see, they want you to be a videographer/photographer/editor/graphic designer/social media expert...everything So I'm focusing now on building my video skills, while I am not completely ignorant on how video works I feel many gaps that make me unsure of my skills and therefore not apply to new opportunities. Mainly when it comes to creating cool, dynamic stuff that not only captures people's attention but also transmits something and tells a story, and I get that's the biggest thing in filmmaking, but as someone who did not go to school for that I do not know where to begin to learn those aspects of the craft. Whenever I have recorded something, I just shoot for shooting and then when editing I suffer immensely cause I do not know how to make a sense of whatever I recorded and how to make it dynamic.

Earlier this year for some reason I was able to land a job as a photographer/videographer for a clothing brand, and although the owner knew I didn't have much experience with video I did my best when creating the videos which he mentioned he wanted them to be cinematic and also dynamic for social media... I did my best, learnt as much as I could and applied whatever I could, but at the end of the day I was not enough...

So that's what I'm here for, some guidance and pointers to good resources that can help me improve my video skills to hopefully one day consider myself a more complete visual artist.

Will share some Instagram reels that I have come across where I find them very attractive and inspiring, they have a certain look that looks amazing, incredible visuals and story telling, that is something I would hope to achieve. I am not saying I want to begin by creating a movie, but been thinking about the idea that for my next photoshoots I do want to also create a reel, something cinematic or dynamic like those types of reels, but I just don't know where to begin in the process of creating a cohesive video that transmits something and people connect with.
