Patch Lore Rewrite (also some references for his design)
(i rewrote his lore cause it was very cliche guy gets bullied and kills his bullies type of thing.)
Patch grew up a small town that LOVED holidays, they went all out for halloween, christmas, easter, and any other major holidays.
Halloween was Patch's favorite. He had a best friend that loved Christmas more than Halloween, his name was Jack (Patch always called him Jack-o)
Patch always painted his face and carved his pumpkins for Halloween. They made costumes together every year.
One day in October, Patch and Jack were exploring an abandoned farm outside of town. Some local teen boys followed them there. They wanted to scare Patch, and laugh at the one they called "Pumpkin Boy"
When Patch wasn't looking they grabbed and drugged Jack so he couldn't resist. They pushed him off the edge of a catwalk near the grain silo, and Jack fell into the silo, landing in a pile of grain.
Patch never realized until he heard the chute starting and Jack starting to get buried in grain. When police arrived, they found Patch holding Jack's body.
They assumed he killed him, seeing his blank expression with no sympathy.
The boys lied. They said Patch pushed him.
They said he snapped and murdered him.
They said he was influenced by horror movies.
Jack's parents believed the town instead of his silent best friend. The whole town turned on him, the church, school, everyone.
They called him “demon boy” “Monster child” “Pumpkin freak.” And since he never defended himself the world decided that silence meant guilt.
Eventually the boys that actually killed Jack had so much fear that Patch might come and get revenge on them one day, they decided to try and murder him too. They lead him to a pumpkin patch and beat him nearly to death. Everyone thought Patch had died and saw the two boys as heroes. Patch's body was never found.
A few weeks later, Jack's family was found murdered in their house. The boys started fearing the worst, Patch wasn't dead.
On Halloween Night after everyone got done trick or treating, the kids were having a sleepover, they sat awake terrified thinking anything could happen any second now.
Patch snuck into their house and killed them.
His next target was his own family since they had also turned on him. He went home and killed all of them. The killing spree continued each October every year.
Until one night, he decided to attack a farmer, the farmer shot him, and Patch was killed. Something later that night had revived him, making him roam the earth undead so he can continue killing.
