So what happened this week:

The long awaited merger between Fubo and Hulu Live TV just got final approval. Disney now owns 70% of Fubo. Shares are locked for 2 years and public float stays the same.

Fubo and Hulu Live are now under the Disney umbrella, which suddenly gives them real firepower versus YouTube TV.

At the same time, Disney’s carriage agreement with YouTube TV failed to renew, meaning YouTube TV just lost Disney channels like ESPN, ABC, etc right as Fubo gets Disney backing. The timing here is wild. Maybe it was planned? (Some risk of antitrust violations)

Why I am bullish:
YouTube TV losing Disney channels is an immediate subscriber opportunity for Fubo.
(Just take a look on X and Google Trends, search results and posts are up hundreds maybe even thousands %)

Market still pricing Fubo like a dying SPAC instead of Disney’s new streaming weapon.

Fubo got earnings Monday morning, and the conference call could bring some more light on the merger. All the synergies and future growth projections.

Shares locked for 2 years keeps the float tight. At the same time institutional ownership is on the rise.

My position:
50 calls at $4 expiring next Friday
40 calls at $5 expiring February 2026

(Calls are extremely cheap)

TLDR
Disney now owns Fubo and YouTube TV lost Disney channels at the same time. Sports viewers looking for ESPN have one place to go.

Fubo is now part of Disney while YouTube TV loses all Disney networks. Planned? Yes!
