What's up with the Turquoise?

I'm currently watching the Wake Forest game. Turquoise really seems to be on prominent display rn. Not too sure why. It's a good color but I'm just wondering what's bringing it out so much. I've even seen it in stores and it wasn't nearly as prominent when I was in undergrad.
