What pedals should I get as a beginner?

I've been playing guitar for about 6 months now, and I think I'm at the stage now where I should get some pedals. I just like playing songs I like, but there are a lot of songs where messing with my amp just can't get the right tone. The pedals I'm mainly thinking about getting are distortion, overdrive, muff, fuzz, and wah. I'm also considering flanger, univibe, and a killswitch (not necessarily a pedal but still). My amp can do chorus, phaser, delay, tremolo, and reverb, so I don't know if pedals for those would be needed.

For context, my guitar is a Squire sonic stratocaster HSS, my amp is a Fender Champion II 25. Some of the genres I like to play are: 90s-00s nu/alt metal (deftones, chevelle, linkin park), 90s grunge (nirvana, smashing pumpkins, alice in chains), 60s-70s rock (pink floyd, led zeppelin, jimi hendrix)

Which pedals are worth getting and which brand/specific pedals do you recommend? Are there any other effects I missed that I should get?
