Never rule out the possibility of Cinemas returning to their Pre-Pandemic Glory.
It’s no secret that this has been a terrible decade for cinemas. Covid forced people home and many never bothered to return to theaters when pandemic restrictions have eased and have chosen to keep being lazy and stream at home. Too many films are flopping again and again. Cinema expenses are too pricy. Behaviors in the theaters are more immature than ever before. Not as many movies exceed $1B globally. Jobs in the film industry are not what they used to be with the lack of hiring and countless layoffs. And don’t get me started on how the economy got screwed over with far too many people barely even managing to pay off their bills.
But if history can tell us anything, it’s that humanity always rises up from dark times. That black plague, world wars, a Great Depression, nations under dictatorship, etc. But these are just phases and the 2020s mess we’re in is just another phase. Humanity will always prevail and rise up from difficult times by any means necessary. Economies can always get better. America once went from the Great Depression and World War II to living a good life in the mid-20th century will piles of disposable income. If it can happen then, it can happen in the future too.
As long as we elect the right people moving forward, work hard, focus more, stand up to the greedy rich, and actually push ourselves outside our comfort zone, we can be able to make it out of this decade alive. Everything that’s been going this decade is just a phase we can grow out of. As long as we make good choices on our fates, we can live in a more sustainable life, with a booming economy leaving us with better finances and disposable income, making it for affordable for us to go to movie theaters more often.
Life is a crazy place. You literally cannot rule out anything. Earth always has its ups and downs but it is still here. We’ve been through a lot. There is no use to give up. I will not allow doomerism to flow around here any longer. Being a doomer and doubting a comeback will not make things any better. Being a doomer makes you part of the problem. If enough people snap themselves out of this phase of doomerism, we can manage to make a difference. Don’t rule anything out. Let’s throw convenience aside and get out of the house more often. Movie theaters still have high qualities that streaming and social media will never match. We can recover. No need to question that. Even if it takes a while, we can eventually go back to the way things were as long as we commit ourselves to it. The question is: Are you willing to snap out of this 2020s phase?
