My versions of Zeus, Hades and Poseidon in Greek Mythology.

Discussion

In my story's reinterpretation of the Greek gods, Zeus is a paradoxical combination of divine hospitality and petty dickishness, welcoming a character to Mount Olympus with open arms, only to then levy a fair yet cruel punishment for stealing ambrosia: a trip to the underworld to retrieve Cerberus, which he found amusing.

Poseidon, meanwhile, was a surfer-dude bro, generally more chill than his brothers but with a mischievous, disruptive streak in his personality that made him like playing with cruise ships because he had nothing better to do.

Hades, on the other hand, is the most levelheaded and ultimately the fairest of them all, though still a "fair dick," as depicted when he grants the character permission to take Cerberus provided, he does it blindfolded. His relationship with Persephone is one of the more normal ones among the divine family, free from abuse or overly sappy tropes; she often corrects him when his schadenfreude gets the better of him.
