I (17M) am talking to a girl (17F) who was interested in me first… i have now developed feelings for her. where do i go from here?

first of all, i have never talked to a girl in this way prior to this, so i seek advice on the future of our relationship and current issues i am facing.

this girl has clearly expressed an interest in me for the past 2 months since i met her for the first time. for the first month, i never really realized until the last week when her and her friend were making it clear that she was crushing on me. just over a month ago, i followed her on instagram and started DMing her straight away.

this is when i realized how compatible we were, sharing many common interests. for the first week, we texted every day with her starting it most days and at the end of the week, we went on our first date. it wasn’t anything crazy, we just grabbed drinks and found somewhere to sit. this texting and weekly date continued for the next 2 weeks and i quickly developed feelings for her.

on our third date (2 weeks ago), i mustered up the courage to tell her how i feel. she reassured me, telling me she feels the same way. it’s probably important to note how both of us have never had a relationship before this one. we also considered the possibility of a relationship in the near future and we both agreed.

last week, i took her to see a movie. it went very smoothly and we both enjoyed it a lot. however, after this she stopped starting conversations through text which she usually would do. we didn’t text for three days after this until i started a conversation where i apologized for not texting for a while and told her i was still very interested, she told me she was still very interested also. since then, she hasn’t started any conversations but i have every night, i feel like i’m bothering her even though she says i’m not.

i’m not sure how to move on from this stage, i feel like i want to ask her to be my girlfriend soon but i don’t know if she’s ready yet. when we are alone together, we are comfortable however when i see her around campus with her friends i tend not to interact. we are both very introverted people surrounded by extrovert friends which probably is why this happens.

i would just like some advice on what to do now, we both clearly like each other but i’m not sure if it’s time yet.
