I live in a suburb of a medium size town. We've been here for 25 years. My street historically gets a good amount of trick or treaters, but two blocks away it's like stepping into Trick 'R Treat, but without the violence and multiple storyline.

Every year the city closes off the street. It's three blocks, and most houses give out candy. Some houses put out huge displays with elaborate sets and costumes. They have different themes every year.

The street has tons of trick or treaters, they're nonstop. This year was a table grilling hot dogs, and handing them out with hot chocolate.

There's one house that puts on a haunted house ever year. It's a popular event. The haunted house was in their garage and was done really well for amateurs. Thia year it was outside in tarp rooms since their garage burned down last year.

This year, there were TWO MORE haunted houses at the other end of the block. They were so well done for what resources they had.

Overall, 41st street is a traditional Halloween Town every year.

On my own street, I gave out over 300 pieces of candy. I think we had more trick or treaters this year than previous years. We had a range from infants to teenagers to adults. The oldest were three elderly ladies in costume. Two were helping the third as they went house to house. They were awesome.

Halloween trick or treating two blocks from me. They close off the whole street
