Cross Country Move

Context: I’ll be moving with my husband to a more expensive state than where we currently live, but we will be moving with higher education (currently pursuing degrees) that we are confident we can use to find employment that will support our living in this state. We plan on moving sometime in 2027 so we are not currently applying for jobs just yet. We have friends and family scattered throughout this new state, but no solid leads on living with anyone yet especially as they don’t live very close to the area that would be best for entry level positions. We also have a dog which complicates staying with people. We are saving as aggressively as possible now but can’t put much away due to being full time students.

Would love some ethical and nonethical but still technically legal advice about the following:

-What’s the best order to prioritize for changing licenses, securing housing and gaining employment? They all seem to rely on each other

-Where is the best place to search for jobs? My husband will be in the tech industry and I’ll be in social services

-How likely is it that we could interview for positions before moving?

-Any moving-for-jobs and cross-country-moving advice would be welcome!!
